Sounds Of iO release “Oumuamua” from their self-titled debut Album on Moment Recordings.

Taken from the Sounds Of iO Album, Oumuamua is an ambient composition named after the frst interstellar object detected passing through our solar system.

The Original mix is presented for the frst time in it’s unabridged version. Whale-like sounds and backwards synthesisers evolve with a repeated spoken voice.

The remix comes from prolifc electronica artist, Christian Wheeldon AKA Canopy Of Stars. Extending the ambience, Canopy Of Stars mutates the original into six minutes of blissful soundscapes adding waves of effects and strings.

Sounds of iO are Chris Taubert and Steve Travell. The pair have been making music together since 2016 after Chris presented Steve a handful of track ideas he’d been working on. A shared musical love of downtempo, trip hop and ambient soundscapes soon inspired them to develop the tracks together and create an album.

“Oumuamua” is taken from the debut album from Sounds of iO. The Deluxe version of the Album containing Remixes and new edits will be available on Moment Recordings in the New year.
