Moment recordings present the “Late Mournings” EP from Lo-fi Artist, Casual Jumper.

Following the previous “Seat Sighing” and “Melancholy Flowers” EPs, Casual Jumper’s prolifc creativity continues with his latest package containing fve more takes on the sad Lo-f genre.

“Taping Dreams” sets the mood with mournful piano chords and a simple classic guitar hook. Title track “Late Mournings” samples mellow guitar and pensive strings over a dusted beat and more classical guitar noodling.
“Will You Go Out With Me?” takes the tempo down further using a tape worn Arpeggio and doleful vocals rendering the whole track into a mournful, modulating groove.

Meanwhile “Don’t Turn Away” lightens the EP atmosphere slightly with Rhodes piano and an almost(!) cheerful piano melody.
Finally, normal service is resumed with “One Year Older”. Filtered synths intertwine with wobbly keys ending the EP with a late night soulful groove.

A self confessed 90’s Sitcom addict and retro enthusiast, Casual Jumper utilises old VHS tapes and cassettes to record and sample his music adding heartsick melodies and wistful affection to soothing effect.

“Late Mournings” is part 3 of a trio of EPs from Casual Jumper released on Moment recordings.
