Moment Recordings proudly present the fifth release on the label with “Three Six Nine”, the debut single from Electronica duo, Sounds of iO.

Extracted from their soon to be released self titled album “Sounds of iO”, “Three Six Nine” is an electronic excursion of wavering synth layers over a tranced-out bass line and scattering break beats.

The sounds evoke a futurist take on ’90’s era trippy rave with a spoken vocal riffing on the phenomenon of sacred geometry.

Sounds of iO are Chris Taubert and Steve Travell. The pair met back in 2006 when Steve was asked to produce an album of a band that Chris was in at the time. But it wasn’t until 2016 that Chris brought a handful of new musical ideas he had been working on.

The two realised they shared a common musical love of downtempo, trip hop and ambient soundscapes and were soon bouncing ideas off each other. Chris, with his twisted sensibilities and Steve, with his history as a producer and sound engineer, they both soon realised they were creating something special.

“Three Six Nine” is a taster for the forthcoming album from Sounds of iO coming out on Moment Recordings in the Autumn.
